Hiking sticks, backpack, hiking and bike maps with recommendations, headlamp and thermos are at the hut already.
After a tour you can relax here - in the hammock or on the terrace. In the evening you can heat up the stylish grill, cook and laugh in the well-lit kitchen, play mills or chess - enjoy life in its simplicity to the fullest.

Feel the glittering winter magic of Tyrol
The Waldhütte is your ideal starting point for winter and snowshoe hikes, relaxed toboggan rides (200m to the toboggan run), ski tours and alpine skiing at the lift.
Hiking with snowshoes, just like in trapper's times, into the wonderful winter landscape is an unforgettable experience. And the great thing is that snowshoes with poles and sledges are always on hand at the Waldhütte.
Not far, only 1.2 km away, there is a small, fine ski region called "Kellerjoch" , which awaits with family-friendly and sunny slopes up to about 1900m above sea level and also a skischool with rentals and lessons.
There is also the possibility of enjoying the winter magic in Tyrol with two more demanding cross-country ski runs (Naunzalm to Grafenast: 2 km and Grafenast to Bärau: 1.5 km.
A very special experience: pulling your luggage on the expedition sledge (a speedy "Pulka"). A 1000m walk from the parking lot through the winter forest to the Waldhütte - pure winter fun!
And then after all the exercise in the fresh air, heat up and relax in the sauna or the indoor pool just a short walk to the neighbouring hotels.
Our favorite winter hiking tip: snowshoe hiking on one of the many signposted snowshoe trails... Our favourite round trip: Waldhütte (1400m) - Naunzhütte (1600m) - Galterer Weg - Loasweg - Hoferweg - Waldhütte; Duration: approx. 2 hours, 250 metre difference in elevation.
